Written for Boston area guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan in December 2006 for his recording of lullabies, Dreams on a Lullaby is based on the tune made famous by Miguel Llobet, Noi de la Mare. A sweet and luscious Catalan folksong in 6/8, the theme travels through major and minor versions that often interweave and conflict with each other with a surrealism reminiscent of the painter Dalí.
