The Windy Place represented here is the coast of Spain north of Santiago de Compostela where I travelled with my wife after giving a concert for the festival Musica en Compostela in the summer of 1982. It was magical - our first son's name is Nathan [Gift in Hebrew] Guthrie ["from the windy place" in Gaelic]. The movements are: Pilgrim's road, Sand and sky, In the shadow of the church, and The Gift.
